Ikat is a process of dyeing on silk or cotton fabrics and this results in colourful patterns.  Ikat is one of the ancient techniques of fabric dyeing. In early days colors from nature are used for dyeing but now a days chemial dyeing is also in practice. in early weavers weave by hand but  now weaving is done by machines.
